Enrolment Process
Enrolments can be arranged through the school office at any time during the school year. Enrolling families will attend an interview with either our Principal or Deputy Principal and be provided with an
Enrolment Package (which can also be downloaded from this link) . Please contact Administration on 5472 2100.
Enrolment for Prep
Parents and carers are welcome to enrol students for Prep prior to their starting year. During the enrolling year, parents will be able to attend an interview with a school delegate and, in conjunction with our local daycares & kindergartens, have the opportunity to participate in a transition program to Cooroy State School.
This program is a comprehensive one with many goals:
Welcome parents to our school
Familiarise new families with school procedures through open afternoons and information sessions
Provide new students with a familiar setting for the introduction of school
Gather information about students in order to best cater for their needs

School Enrolment Management Plan (EMP)
We wish to advise that Cooroy State School came under a School Enrolment Management Plan in 2016. Cooroy State School recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school’s catchment area. Because of enrolment capacity and growth, Cooroy State School may be unable to meet this obligation in the future, unless action is taken to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict the enrolment of out-of-catchment students to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school, without requiring additional facilities.
Students within Catchment
Any student, whose principal place of residence is within the school’s catchment area, is (subject to the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006) entitled to enrol at the school. The School Principal will reserve places for students who move into the catchment area throughout the school year.
