NAPLAN
Each year, students from Grade 3 and Grade 5 at Cooroy State School complete the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). The tests are held during May, with results returned to schools and parents in September.
Consistently over the last few years, Cooroy State School has shown an upward trend across all year levels in all key learning areas:
- Reading
- Writing
- Spelling
- Grammar and punctuation
- Numeracy (calculator and non-calculator)
The data returned to Cooroy State School each year is analysed by a team of staff, looking at the strength and challenge areas for each year level. Whole school and year level plans and processes are then designed to further strengthen these areas.
